Voice recognition libs? SPHINX?

Has anyone got any code to share or instructions for setting up Julius to work with openframeworks?

I realize this is a really old post, but it would really help me.

I did try the sphinx system that was posted ( http://www.openframeworks.cc/files/sphinx-xcode-005.zip5 ) but it looks like that was created long before rated was integrated with openframeworks. I'm not sure how to recode the sphinxcontroller files to use soundstream instead of the direct calls to rtAudio.

I ended up with a lot of " cannot initialize a parameter of type 'int*' with an rvalue of type 'unsigned int*' " errors, and 'adjusted' rtAudio, but now the errors are coming from ofRtAudioStream.cpp, and I would rather not damage that file in openframeworks, lest I break what works elsewhere.

it 'looks' like everyone was excited for the potential of speech recognition way back in 2008... what happened?

(for the record, I am interested in getting the sounds of ambient audio represented as text on the screen. not speech recognition, but phonemes or even incorrect words. the video in this post look very useful for what I hope to accomplish)

Any help for completing this attempt (even pointing in the right direction) would be appreciated.
