I recently got a Flea3, USB3, from a professor of mine to play with. The only problem is, I have a macbook and I am unsure if I can even run it. It has a i5 and 4gb of ram. I have tried using it with libdc1394 and I follow the steps to set up the camera and cant find what i need to change in the hello world file. I know they're are third party applications to run it but I can't find one to run USB3 on OSX. Not sure what to do at this point but give the camera back if I can't use it.
