Fatal error: openssl/opensslconf.h: No such file or directory

I get this error "fatal error: openssl/opensslconf.h: No such file or directory" when i use the ofxHttp or ofxSimpleHttp library. The problem has been addressed and i think fixed in this thread https://github.com/bakercp/ofxHTTP/issues/10 how ever, i am using codeblocks instead of visual studio and I am stuck on how to fix this. The thread issues that a path in the openFrameworksCompiled folder is wrong. However everything seems to be fine by me.
Does anyone knows how to fix this? Many thanks in advance.
